This mother-daughter duo were a pleasure to photograph and their love for each other is so clearly evident. Julie and I (Shoshana) were co-workers and next-door office peeps at Mizzou. We’re both doing different things now and Andrew and I have wanted to get these two in front of our cameras for awhile. Julie has been battling breast cancer this year but you wouldn’t know it from spending the afternoon together during this session – she was her normal happy, friendly, sweet self. Last week, Julie celebrated her final radiation treatment. Her community has rallied around in support and everyone’s praying the cancer is gone!

We hit the tail end of fall color for this shoot at Grindstone Nature Area and the weather was simply beautiful. Not to mention the subjects!

Julie was a Mizzou gymnast and Regan may be following in her footsteps – she’s competing at higher and higher levels and having a blast doing so.
