Daniel approached me (Andrew) while shooting pictures at The Crossing and asked if I’d be interested in capturing his proposal. “Sure!” I said with no idea it was happening in four days! Daniel and I scouted the location (McBaine Bur Oak), formulated a covert plan of action and it all came together. He picked up the ring an hour before he was to propose…talk about cutting it close!
In order to keep the proposal and photography a complete surprise, I dressed as a cyclist and acted as if I was repairing a flat on my bike. The MKT is nearby – a perfect cover. Shoshana parked across the road; her cover was that she just brought me a new inner tube. We must have blended in because Alicia did not notice or suspect a thing. Our cameras at the ready, we secretly snapped away as Daniel went down on one knee.
After capturing the special and private moment we grabbed some engagement photos. Daniel even brought some bubbly, and the evening was perfect.
Congratulations, Daniel and Alicia, we’re so excited for you guys and your new life together.
