It was a joy to photograph David and Rachel and their son, Isaac. Rachel and I met at a local La Leche League meeting (see my note at the bottom after you enjoy the pictures) when our kiddos were a couple of months old and it’s been a pleasure to watch them grow up. Isaac’s very close to turning 2; and I think Rachel would agree that time is flying!

This was the first session we’ve held at Grindstone Nature Area, and it was gorgeous. The creek bed offered Isaac plenty of rock hunting opportunities and the fall color made everything so pretty.

This energy!

All the rocks, leaves and sticks offered Isaac many opportunities for exploring and great photos!

David and Rachel, thanks for asking us to capture the moments of your family. We had a great time with you and look forward to seeing this little guy continue to grow.

*La Leche League is a mother-to-mother organization to support breastfeeding. As a new mom, I found my local group to be very helpful and the other moms offer so much encouragement for whatever phase of child-raising you’re in – newborn, introduction of solid foods, weaning, sleep (who hasn’t had issues with this area!), etc. The leaders are also available by phone for questions. I’d encourage any mom to visit a meeting at least once. And, honestly, the meetings are also just a great reason to get out of the house with your little one, especially in the dead of winter!
